What do you do at Addison Clark?
My job revolves around writing – from blog posts to web copy to 140 character tweets. On a daily basis, I deal with social media marketing, email marketing, copywriting and blogging – a writer’s dream job.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
I love dealing with social media on a regular basis. It’s fun to see customers interacting with brands they love. I also love being able to articulate our clients’ stories using social media.
Name three things you’ll find on your desk at work.
A framed picture of me and my husband on our wedding day. We got married in May of this year and I still haven’t tired of looking at our wedding photos again and again (…and again), so having this on my desk makes me particularly happy. You’ll also find a mug for hot tea and plenty of Sharpie pens.
What is your favorite social media site and why?
I'm completely addicted to Instagram and love it because of its visual nature. I'm always going down hashtag rabbit holes to discover companies, products, and awesome people in the universe.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
It really bugs me when people spell words that should begin with a “C” with a “K”, like Kiddie Kamp or Krazy Kat. Purposely misspelling words boggles my mind.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Whenever I’m not at work or in class, I enjoy spending time with my husband, travelling and writing for my personal blog.
If you could choose any ONE superpower, what would it be and why?
I’ve always thought it would be cool to have the power to make yourself invisible.
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Definitely a dog person. My dream pet would be a big old bloodhound like the one from Sweet Home Alabama.
What’s your favorite holiday?
I’m a big fan of summer holidays because they usually involve great weather, the beach, picnics, watermelon, and sunshine!
If you could travel in a Time Machine, would you go back to the past or into the future?
I’ve always wanted to travel back to the ‘60s and ‘70s and meet my parents and grandparents the way they were then. Plus, I wouldn’t mind wearing some of those outfits from the ‘70s either.
