take 5 with mary 2

We asked Mary, one of our account managers some questions about marketing trends and challenges. Here's what she had to say....

1. What's the best piece of marketing advice you've ever heard?
Focus on the problems you solve! Consumers want to know how your product or service helps them and why they would benefit from investing in that.

2. What do you consisder to be the biggest challenge for today's businesses?
Turning website visitors into buyers. In order to encourage visitors to stay on their website, minimize abandonment, and complete their conversion, businesses have to optimize their websites for the best experience. This means eliminating clutter, making the message clear, and keeping the navigation simple and frustration-free.

3. What aspect of marketing do you think businesses should pay more attention to?
I think it's important for businesses to zero-in on convenience, ease of communication, and a solid customer experience. These factors are all the foundation to a thriving business. If you have a convenient way for customers to communicate with you, it's easier to turn them into repeat customers. Delivering a great experience will drive engagement on social media, more positive reviews online, and build trust among your audience. It all starts with customer satisfaction!

4. What marketing trend do you think we'll see more of in the future?
Mobile communications are taking all industries by storm. First and foremost, businesses should make sure their websites are built in a mobile-friendly format. That is just the tip of the iceberg, in my opinion. The smart phone was the brink of the next technological revolution. In the future, businesses will have to incorporate more and more of the latest and greatest technology.

5. What's your favorite thing about working in the marketing industry?
My favorite thing about working in this industry has to be the creativity. I love to be able to think differently about strategies and take an out-of-the-box approach on projects if need be. I love the design, thoughtful words, and careful strategy that builds the perfect campaign for the right business model. Ultimately, marketing is an industry that will always grow and change with the world. It's not something that will die out over time. Bring it on!
