Blog posts. Facebook. E-books. Twitter. White papers. Infographics. These are all types of content marketing platforms that can be used to build relationships online. At this point, you're probably well-versed in the benefits of content marketing and why it matters for your business, but creating all of that content can be daunting.

At Addison Clark, we create and source content on a daily basis for clients across a wide range of industry. Today, we're sharing some of our best tricks for sourcing content ideas for your many marketing platforms.

1. Subscribe to email newsletters.
Having even more emails in your inbox may sound annoying, but relevant emails can be an awesome source of content. Make sure you sign up for industry and topic relevant emails so they remain valuable.

2. Set up alerts.
If there is a particular topic that is interesting or relevant to your business, set up a Google alert for it. This powerful tool is a great way to keep track of news and topics of interest as they appear on the web. The best part about it is you can choose the frequency for receiving alerts.

3. Follow relevant social media profiles.
Other social media users, particularly those in your industry, can be a good source of inspiration.

4. Sign up for your local news.
Often, news about your city or surrounding area contain great pieces of content that can be sourced for your business.

5. Listen to your clients/customers.
What questions are you receiving a lot lately? Is there something particular that you've noticed customers are interested in? Your workplace is an awesome place to pick up on what's top-of-mind for clients and customers and turn that into relevant and engaging content.
